To claim a Mark, find it in the Market, open its page and choose Claim. It becomes yours on the spot: your name appears as its owner, nobody else can hold it while you do, and every design you make with it can be exported. Claiming is free while Gradiently launches. The harder part is choosing, so most of this guide is about finding the right Mark and testing it before you commit.

How to search the Market
The Market holds the 20,000 Marks crafted by Gradiently, plus Marks that members have made and published. Its search box takes several kinds of query, and knowing them saves a lot of scrolling.

Then narrow the results with the filters: Colour (from red to grey), Ground (light or dark), Mood (vivid, soft, dark, neon, calm, warm, cool, monochrome or colourful), Material and Style. Sort by Most beautiful for Gradiently's own quality ranking, Newest, Most loved, Library number or Shuffle for a fresh mix. If you already have a picture of the look you want, Match a picture will find the closest Marks for you instead.
Try a Mark on a real design before you claim it
Every Mark page has a section called See it on a real brand. It dresses the same Mark as a poster, a story, a slide, a card and more, for a café, a fintech, a fashion label or another kind of business. Change the type or the light, or put your own name on the designs, to see it as yours rather than as a demo.

For a proper test, choose Try it on a design first and open it in the Studio. You can design with any Mark for free. Put your actual headline on it, not placeholder text, and look at three things: whether the words read at phone size, whether it holds up in both a tall and a wide format, and whether it still feels right after a day. The Studio's size list includes every common platform format, so checking a Mark against your real channels takes minutes.
How to claim a Mark, step by step

Open the Mark's page
Click any Mark in the Market, or search its code. The page shows its colours, its typefaces, its materials, who made it and whether it is ready to claim.

Check it is available
Ready to claim means nobody holds it. If it says Claimed by someone, it belongs to them. Use See Marks like it to find close alternatives.

Choose Claim
Sign in or create an account if you haven't. Claiming is free while Gradiently launches, and the Mark becomes yours straight away.

Decide which brand wears it
If you run more than one brand, choose Use it to pick which brand, called a personality, wears the Mark. New designs for that brand start on it.

Make your first design
Open the Studio from the confirmation, or start from a template and choose Swap in my Mark.
Other places you can claim a Mark
You do not have to start from the Market. The same claim is offered wherever a Mark stands between you and a finished file.
- In the Studio's Export dialog. If you designed with a Mark you don't own, Export offers to claim it before the file is made.
- On a template. A template page shows which Mark it wears and offers Claim this Mark when it is available.
- In Match a picture. When a Market Mark is very close to your picture, it is offered as Claim this one. A version made for you becomes a new Mark, made by you and owned by you.
- Through an AI assistant. With a key that includes the Claim Marks permission, an assistant connected over MCP can claim for you. See connecting an AI assistant.

The creator of the Mark stays on its page, whoever owns it, and the Mark's recipe is fixed once published, so it never changes under the designs that wear it. If you ever want to let it go, Release sends it back to the Market for someone else to claim; designs you have already exported stay yours.
